The lucky few who attended the SIS Halloween dance were lucky, indeed. There were a lot of things to do, and STUCO did a good job occupying the classrooms to make the dance more entertaining. The library was where all the dancing was held. There was a freeze dance competition; Jessica Soll, 12th, won that challenge.
Mr. Tessen’s room was the movie room where the students watched scary films. Mrs. Ayeras’ room was used for taking pictures, and was also used as a video game room where everyone was welcomed to entertain themselves by playing Super Mario on the Wii. The hallway was wonderfully decorated with multiple light colors and spider webs surrounding the walls and the lockers. Also in the hallway was the buffet of sweets and snacks. (It was quite delicious if you ask me!)
Towards the end of the dance, there was a costume competition held; the scariest, the cutest, and the overall winner. Josh Tured, 9th, won the scariest, Abel Pellegrino, 10th, and Amy Hudkins, 11th, won the cutest, and Zoe Jewell, 11th, won overall. By 10 ‘o clock, the students were out of the building with the free snacks they were asked to take home with them!
STUCO has decided to propose a couple more dances and movie nights before the 2011 Prance. Be sure to attend the upcoming events and help support STUCO and SIS! Happy Halloween!
