School, really?

What has happened to all the fun?! Well, I think we should ask school that question, because ever since I started high school, my life has just been all about staying up late, trying to finish last minute homework during the class before the actual class, tired eyes and frequent unintentional neglect of important tasks. For example, right now, I'm procrastinating with my Chemistry homework (which involves the SI system of measurements.. fun.) Also, I totally forgot the excerpt for my Ancient World History essay yesterday, I hope Mr. Tessen will go easy on me and not lower my grade too much for turning it in a day late.
I have homework everyday up the wazoo!  Seriously, don't these teachers realize that I need some sleep?! I never have any free time anymore because of the loads of homework school is almost literally throwing at me. Don't get me wrong, school is awesome if you're consistent with your studies, but I'm a teenager, I kind of (not really) have a life outside of school, I'm irritable, and impatient, so sitting in class listening to an hour-long lecture will eventually get on my nerves. Teachers and advisors expect their students to put a hundred percent into schoolwork, but it's hard to do that when we know that we're going to be doing that everyday for the rest of our lives! In my opinion, it's not the actual work that kills us; it’s the anticipation that's the real torture.
I personally think that students shouldn’t have so much work (not just because I’m a student or anything). Sometimes, I don’t even get what’s going on in class, which makes my life a living hell when I get home to do the homework. Math is my biggest problem. First of all, math uses numbers; numbers and I do not get along well. Second, there are too many things to memorize, like the basic steps of algebra; the fundamentals, and stuff. When will I need to memorize those things unless I become a technician or an architect? Besides, I want to be like, an English teacher; and don’t tell me that you need to use math to understand English, because I’m darn sure that you don’t.
So yeah, my main point is just to avow my feelings of deep displeasure towards school and its blistering effects on my personal life. Just because we (students) are (seemingly) capable of doing what our advisors or teachers throw at us, doesn’t technically mean that we will do it all; remember, only about 10 to 20 percent of the human mind is used thinking, the other 80 to 90 percent is utilized for the subconscious mind; which is SLEEP.

Why do I love Paul McCartney? Why do you breathe?

I'm pretty sure you've all know about Paul McCartney. But, if you don't, he's this awesome musician who started out in a band called the Beatles, who of course are among the best bands of the sixties, if not the best. The Beatles' music is still popular among most older generations and a little with the younger generation. Songs like Love Me do (1962), Please please Me (1963), I want to hold Your Hand (1963) and others swept America and the rest of the world under their wing. John Lennon also mentioned that the Beatles were even more popular than Jesus, which was partially true in a way, but those who were once huge fans, revolted against the band, giving them a bad image. Even with that, the Beatles are still extremely admired, and always be. From the beginning of the Beatles in 1960, to their official break-up in 1970, Paul, John, George and Ringo all have influenced the world in a spectacular way by changing the face of music itself.

Now that you have some information about the Beatles, I can go on talking about my favorite member! Paul McCartney, born June 18, 1942, from mother Mary and Father Jim. How could the world ask for a more perfect gift than Paul McCartney?! I personally don't know, but miracles are not to be questioned. So I guess I'll start with how it all began. In 8th grade (2008), the SIS spring musical was on its way, and the theme of it was "Beatlemania." I never thought of the Beatles then the same way I do now, because I was never really into music back then (you can even say that I didn't listen to music at all!).
Sonia Jhung, my best friend since we first met, talked me into watching some of their music videos online. At first, I refused, but she forced it upon me. Eventually, I gave in and started watching. I even remember the first video of the Beatles I watched; it was the Hey Jude video. I still didn't think much of them, mainly because I was never influenced to listening to older music, and only heard the modern crappy music they played on the radio.
When I went to Sonia's house for a World History project, she once again forced me to watch the Beatles, this time she showed me the song Help! She wanted me to get interested in John Lennon, (because she was interested in him) but I was too distracted by Paul McCartney to even hear the music! Okay, so It wasn't love at first sight, but I believe that love works in mysterious ways. It struck me like a bolt of lightning! I thought I had fallen off my chair, but I hadn't! During that time, Sonia and I Googled him to see how his life was; if he was married, if he had children, or if his music career was still ongoing. Good news was that he was still alive and healthy. He even had children, and a successful solo career (that is still up and running till this day). But the bad news was that he was currently going through a nasty divorce. But I'm glad he and that woman separated! He's much happier now that she's out of the picture!
After that fateful trip to Sonia's house, my obsession began. It was like PAUL McCARTNEY everywhere! If someone says anything bad about him or the Beatles, I would have really hurt them. No kidding. Still to this day, I cannot tolerate rudeness and disrespect towards the Beatles. I can understand that people are entitled to their own opinions, but if you insult them just to spite me, prepare to face the consequences!
So yeah, if I get into more detail, you'll just get bored because I could seriously write a 20-30 page paper about Paul McCartney and the Beatles. Really. I've done it before and I can do it again. “I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird.”--Paul McCartney, now stop calling me weird for liking him, okay?

Why do they call it a "Bucket List?"

So, first off, I must mention that I'm a huge Beatles fan, so of course this list will have to start out with them. I would LOVE to go to a Paul McCartney concert (hopefully, a VIP?). Also, to meet Ringo Starr! Duh! There are almost always things that will attract my attention; mainly anything to do with hot guys or the Beatles. So, before I die I would love to get married. Oh, and of course, settle down with children.
Traveling is what I would love to do, as well. Hopefully, in the future, (after college, maybe?) I'll be able to go to other countries with my best friends! Speaking of traveling, I would love to go to Korea. Why Korea? Well, I've been influenced by Koreans, themselves, and it's an awesome place! I mean, Korea: hot Korean guys? If no one finds that attractive then they're totally missing out! I want to learn Korean, and hopefully star in a Korean drama! (in my dreams.) My life-long desire! Those dramas are intense!
I want to meet Lee MinHo before I die. He's so hot. Don't forget Shim Changmin, Fernando Torres, Cristiano Ronaldo, or Kaka! I've recently got interested in the World Cup, so I want to watch at least one FIFA game with Ronaldo, Torres, or Kaka in it.
I have a need for adventure and adrenalin, so sky diving or maybe even a car chase is what I want to do before I die! I want to go on a hot air balloon ride! I've always wanted to fly in one, they look so fun.
I guess I could meet a couple famous people before I die. Maybe, if a miracle occurs, I could possibly meet Catherine Zeta-Jones. I know I'm a girl, but she's just really pretty. Johnny Depp and Jim Carrey are two of my favorite actors ever, so I just have to meet them!
I've always wanted to be an astronaut so I could go out in space. Space is just so awesome! I mean, space: the awesomeness of weightlessness! How cool?! Like I mentioned earlier, I like adrenalin and adventure, so space would be the ultimate adrenalin rush! (The thought of being shot out into space kind of scares the crap put of me, though).
I could name a thousand plus things I would love to do before I die, but to me, the overall outcome I want is to just be happy with my life, and to live without regrets, because if I don't live life to the fullest and do the best I could have done, I would surely regret it in the future. That life lesson was given to me by my favorite Korean drama, "Boys over Flowers." You should watch it sometime!
